USB hub disconnects when display goes to standby

Hi guys,
I’ve noticed that when I’m using the display-s usb hub via USB-C and the monitor goes to standby, every device I have connected to the USB hub it gets disconnected.
No that’s one way to get that hub useless.

It is just me? I’m missing something or maybe this it has been fixed with an firmware update? I’m using v102

Thanks!

there is an option to keep the hub on when the monitor is off, did you try that?

I don’t think I have that option.

It’s at the bottom of the Input / Output section of the on-screen controls, labelled USB hub.

The default value is Turn off with monitor but you can set it to Always on.

I think that this option is added after v102 (my current firmware version). But is good to know that they fixed that. Thank you!

so, I’ve updated my firmware from 102 to 104, I’ve activated the option you’ve mentioned and it still get disconnected when in standby. I guess that this would be a bug

Yep, that definitely seems like a bug.

It’s worth emailing support so that the bug can be passed on to the firmware team (person?). It’s possible that this bug will be addressed in the firmware update that’s supposedly coming in the next few weeks, but we’ll have to wait to see if that’s the case.

Hi @Daniel_Croitoru,
