Update 107 bricked my monitor

My monitor took a long time to on the green light phase. Now I it doesn’t go past the logo at boot up. How do I get restore those top default?

It’s not uncommon for the update to fail part-way through. This prevents the monitor from working as expected, but doesn’t necessarily mean it’s bricked.

So long as you have access to a second screen (e.g. a TV), you can try flashing an older firmware version to the Spectrum. That might bring it back to life, at which point you can try upgrading again.

With the latest test firmware (which is several months old now), I needed 3 attempts for the firmware to flash successfully. I was able to downgrade and try again until it worked. It’s a slow process.
