I’ve been using my secondary laptop, an M1 Macbook Air, on and off with my Spectrum. I recently updated it to macOS Ventura and found out that the Spectrum’s USB hub no longer works when connected to the M1 MBA via type-C.
I can also verify that this isn’t a cable nor wrong Spectrum port issue since I can connect the type-C cable to my main laptop (Intel MBP 2019) and all of the devices that are connected to the USB hub immediately work flawlessly.
Have you done a Spectrum USB firmware update at any point?
The original firmware has some issues with Mac compatibility. A new version (06A4 / 0A.89.18.02) came out with the 106 firmware, but that was known to cause more issues with M1 Macs. This has since been replaced with a slightly older version (06A4 / 0A.89.17.02) that’s meant to be quite stable.
Hey @WorldEdit I recommend updating your monitor to the latest version of firmware. You can find all our download on our websites support page here. You can always rollback firmware if you choose in the future
I recommend updating your monitor to the latest version of firmware.
Are you talking about the monitor firmware itself or the USB hub? My monitor is already on the latest firmware. It’s the USB hub FW that I haven’t made any updates as I never encountered any issues beforehand.
Yes, to what @NZgeek was talking about. The Scaler is 107 but the USB 06A4 / 0A.89.17.02 has improvements towards compatibility with Mac. This would probably help your issue
