Hopefully I put this thread in the right location. I got a new PC recently and my monitor hasn’t been able to work with it. It works on my laptop, just not on my PC so I know it works. My PC doesn’t even recognize that it’s connected. I also have the latest firmware installed on the monitor.
Maybe its the specs of the PC and it’s just not compatible with it? These are the only things I can think of that could possibly effect it.
Based on the information I can find, the R9 200 series cards only support DisplayPort 1.2 or HDMI 1.4.
DisplayPort 1.2 supports 4K resolution, but only up to 75Hz. HDMI 1.4 supports 4K resolution, but only up to 30Hz for full 8-bit or 75Hz if using YCbCr 4:2:0.
To get 4K @ 144Hz working, you’d need to have an Nvidia 16xx/20xx/30xx series card or an AMD RX 5xxx/6xxx series card.
If you’re connecting to the monitor via DisplayPort, try switching to HDMI. If that works, check your Radeon software to see if GPU scaling is enabled. If it is, that’d be your problem. From here, you can either stick with HDMI, or disable GPU scaling and go back to DisplayPort. I’m not sure of the specs for these older protocol versions, so I couldn’t really say which would be the better choice.
