I think our problem is that Dough is not getting enough orders in to kick-off another production lot of V2021 machines. So we are the loosers that need to wait until Dough is able to brush together enough new orders.
In the EU shop I could order the EVE2021 today ( i7-1165G7 32G 1T LTE) with 30% discount compared to what I had to pay 20 month ago. Mmmh, seems they are trying to pull in more orders…
3 months on, nearly 4 and no order updates, no device and broken links.
I have stuck with you since version one. More fool me.
Where is my order, or a refund if you can’t deliver.
Very NOT happy
I frankly don’t understand the delay especially since there has been conflicting messages sent out since shipment was supposedly starting in early 2022. It was first stated that they had units but there was a problem with the shipping partners and then the story kept on changing as the date kept moving later and later. I look at my order on the website and it says it was ordered Nov. 2021, yet has the credit for the original pre-order deposit of $300USD and the credit for shipping costs of $130USD, clearly confirming it was pre-ordered in Dec. 2020. It has now been nearly 2 years since ordering and one year since the balance due was paid, and it seems Dough has no 2021 V’s. If they did, they would have shipped them. Now I don’t know if Fortress ripped them off for a number of units or a bunch of units went bad sitting around, but I would bet anything they have no units to ship. As you have stated, Chinoman, I believe that Eve, now Dough, is having to run a sort of ponzy scheme where they are having to sell new units in order to build V’s to satisfy older outstanding orders and there will never be a way for us to anything as we cannot afford attorneys to file personal lawsuits. I brought up the issue of the ponzy but was assured that was not the case, but there cannot be any other reason units aren’t being shipped, yet they are advertised newly for sale. Or maybe they figure those that never got theirs by now will never be able to make a stink about it and they hope they can string us along with promises until we just give up and go away, leaving our money with them.
I have spent months keeping quiet or defending Eve, but now they have taken what little amount of faith I had in their company and flushed it! As everyone has stated, we are not stupid and we know their are major problems, financially and probably structurally as well. It may be that the rest of us should consider whether a class action type lawsuit can be brought against Dough to get some answers and actions moving. I ask questions and now get no answers at all.
Any thoughts on this, those of you who have fully paid for a 2021 V and have not received it or not received a refund promised you?
Let us do again a pool. I just sent out an email to support to get a status of my refund requested on 29th of march 2022 … maybe I will be surprised, lol
On August 12, 2022, I asked support for information on when EVE 2021 will be delivered to me. I received this response:
Thank you for reaching out to us. At the moment, we are waiting for stock to arrive at our distribution centre. Once we are ready to ship you receive an address confirmation email, a device will be allocated to your order and shipping will commence soon after confirming your address. Thank you for your patience and understanding in the meantime. Enjoy your device when it arrives Kind regards, Gino Dough.tech Customer Support
On November 28, 2022, I again asked support for information on when EVE 2021 will be delivered to me. I received exactly the same response as four months ago - copy/paste:

Can someone in charge at Dough tell us why they are ignoring us like this?
My last PM was never even answered. I frankly don’t understand why they can’t answer the question as to "why they don’t have 2021 V’s in stock to be sent to their “distribution center.” It feels like now we are just going to be ignored in the hopes we just go away quietly. There is absolutely no reason for Dough not to give us a concrete answer, it’s just that they are afraid of the reprocussions of telling us the truth. They have no V’s, plain and simple. If they did they would have sent them. Maybe they had a legal problem or Fortress ripped them off idk, but if they have units, they are tied up in some legal battle and can’t be sent or they’re gone. The money we paid this year to pay the remainder of our invoices was used for other purposes than anything to do with our V’s, I would bet on it, or again, they would have already shipped us our V’s. And say that some of the V’s manufactured got damaged or went bad sitting around so long and so Dough didn’t have enough V units to shipped to all pre-orders. Then it would have been easy enough to tell us back then that they needed to manufacture more units, but they haven’t said that either. They have not given any reason at all, except for us to wait and as soon as units arrive at the distribution center they will ship them out and let us know. Like the part of Dough responsible for handling units prior to the distribution center is some separate part which the part of Dough we communicate with knows nothing at all about that other part of Dough. That, of course, is ridiculous. The people we communicate with here either know what’s going on or know the right people to talk to for the answers.
The ignoring and vague answers come down to one thing I believe. The true answer is not favorable to us and Dough knows this. But if they tell us, they are afraid some customers will spread anti-Dough hate all over the web trying to kill their business which already suffers from some negative feedback and must rely on new customers who have not been around the forums or at least not long. I think our final payment money was most likely used to either get some V units out (possibly had to build new ones) or it was used for general operating expenses or r & d for the new monitors. Whatever the case is, there is no cash for those who requested refunds and no V’s for those like me who just want our V’s. We have now waited a long time, with a lack of real communication, that it feels like little chance of Dough following through. I hope it does and I feel I gave the company a very long time without complaining. But now almost every other week my wife asks if I’ve heard anything from my new laptop company, I think just to remind me she was not too happy I bought from the same startup! LOL
I want to wish everyone here and even at Dough, Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
The V2021 was sold in 2021. In 2022 it was older and older and they manage to release it in 2023, the product is already 2 years old. However, I lack faith that they will even manage a release in 2023.
I’ve contacted the support team. They sent me a password reset. Now I can see all my orders.
I also asked about my V 2021 order. Answer: “no update”.
It’s an impertinence that after all the patient waiting, there is still no reliable timeline.
Therefore, I have now cancelled my order.
Hopefully the refund will work out.
Good luck with that. They’ve dragged it out so long my bank won’t even do a chargeback and when I finally said “okay fine just give me the monitor then since you have so many available” I stopped getting responses altogether.
