Wonderful news. Hopefully it shipping to EU won’t take forever.
Any expectancy when all pre-orders will be fulfilled?

Would it be possible to show some footage of the ES07D02? And are you going to send out review samples like the ES07D03 as well?

Hi there!

I don’t have confirmed information yet on when all the pre-orders will be fulfilled. Hopefully it can be accomplished before the end of the year, but that’s my guess.

Yes there will be footage of the production. We have assigned our team to be ready for the video shoot once mass production commences.

Yes, also in the same manner as ES07DC9.

The timeline for the Spectrum 280Hz glossy model should be released soon after the matte version right?
I mean the tech is there and already implemented for the 4k model.

I just hope my move from 280hz matte to glossy isnt going to take another 12 months…

Hi there,

Yes, it shouldn’t take long after 280Hz matte is out. At the moment I haven’t got any more information yet to share for the glossy variant.

What are the most likely sources of further delay? “Estimated Mass Production Schedule” still conveys uncertainty and by now we are all aware of how understandably difficult the situation is in China’s production line. Does the estimated timeline account for these existing factors continuing at their current rate or at “optimal” pre-COVID and silicon supply rates?

Hi there,

Silicon shortage is not the issue here. The reason why it seems like it is uncertain is because of the COVID situation. The situation seems to be good at the moment, but we aren’t sure if it will stay the same next week. If the situation is stable throughout the month, we should not have any problem continuing with the production.

Given it took 10 months to get the 4K Matte stock shipped to the US regional center, and you haven’t managed to ship the 4K Matte model to an EU regional center, do you think the “Dec 2022” (shown on your website) is a realistic date for the ES07DC9 (4K Glossy), ES07D02 (280Hz Matte), and ES07DCA (280Hz Glossy) to be shipped particularly to the EU, noting that you haven’t even starting production of these yet?

Also, you state “development of ES07DCA will be confirmed later as we head toward the end of the year” and yet your website promises delivery of this model in Dec 2022. How is that possible?

Hi there,

I completely agree with you on this. The estimates and the information seem disjointed. I personally think that the estimates should be pushed back because it simply doesn’t make sense from the development standpoint. December for ES07DCA does not sound realistic at all. However…

ES07DC9 - if the production can be made this month, estimated shipping of December is still possible
ES07D02 - same thing, as this is also scheduled for this month. Estimated shipping December is also still possible.

Considering the different challenges we face for US and EU regions, it will be a good idea to have different estimates between these two regions.

I have brought the team’s attention to this situation- to reassess the estimates again as we are reaching the end of the year. We need to stop the trend of pushing it month by month and instead set one realistic timeline and work to fulfill it - Which happened with ES07DC9 back in June, but without all the hiccups.

I think we are in a toxic relationship. We don’t want to admit things are wrong and you guys are gaslighting us… We are literally going to get a 3yr old, outdated monitor. Smart on your end. Components used to be expensive, pandemic hit, components were up. No production due pandemic. Ok, understandable but now components are back down, because, well, 3 yr old components and cha-chin for you guys… I changed my monitor to the 280hz glossy (ES07DCA) and I will have 4yr old components. Still no timeline on that one, even though I understood that the development will be done in parallel, because, well, why not?!?

I am a tech project manager and I cringe at your statuses. This.Is.Not.Ok…

How do you guys sleep at night?

Just curious, may 23rd 2020 I placed a preorder for the 240hz (now 280hz) 1440p monitor and I can survive the wait, but do you guys have any other updates on November/December estimates?

I hate to say it, but the communication with this project is starting to lack big time. I REALLY thought I would have this before Christmas 2022 but since NO NEWS has been given about how the production is going, how the December shipping prediction is looking so far, it frustrates me. I always try to look at those kind of situations with a logical approach, but this feeling that I’ve been used and taken advantage of is growing everyday; It is getting emotional now. I’ve paid my product so long ago, thinking the shipping was starting soon. I get it, set backs happens. but I feel like at this point, EVERY matte displays (the OG trio) MUST have a weekly status update either here or by email. BARE MINIMUM. Every day I see more and more attractive options on the market and it stings. I feel like I have made the wrong choice.

I’m still willing to stick for a bit more, since I have paid everything and I don’t want to lose that deposit. But I’m disappointed. I’m never pre-ordering something at this price point again.

I’m going to ask it again : What is the status of ES07D02 as of today? I’m really sorry if it comes as aggressive, I never do that. But you’re pushing it.
Thanks.

Hi, regarding the ES07DC9 (Spectrum 4K glossy): I’ve ordered back in April 2022, when June was estimated for shipping. Since then I haven’t received a single mail (!) regarding any update! I mean come on…

So today I found this thread with the info “Expected resumption of mass production on November 2022. Estimated shipping December 2022”.

I need to know if it’s realistic that the monitor will ship at all (ideally at some point before April 2023 to Europe), or if I should order a refund instead? There are more and more color accurate 4K monitors available, even with Mini-LED, and I simply can’t keep on expecting the monitor while being grumpy about the situation. It’s just a waste of energy on both sides, really. 1000+ Euro is a lot of money for me… and reading through the refund thread really stressed me out because refunding seems like even more hassle.

Additional question: still love the overall product design around the panel and hope that the monitor is still branded with the eve design (not a fan of the “dough” logo / name). Is this still true with the upcoming production?

Free customer feedback: I didn’t even realize when eve changed the name. This just looks still really fishy to me. Especially when combined with all the threads in this forum. It really leaves a bad impression. Hope you understand if I feel a little bit… ehm… insecure about the purchase. Please don’t take this personally. I just wanted to let you know and let of some steam…

I recall seeing something that says the branding isn’t going to change. Or at least the Eve triangle is going to stick around.

I’ve just checked my 4K matte and I can only see one instance of the Eve branding. When looking at the back of the screen, there’s a roughly 1cm tall e▽e logo embossed in the lower-right corner. That’s all there is.

Changing the logo on the back of the screen would require new injection moulds, so I don’t expect it to be changed any time soon. And even if it does change, at least it’s in a place you’re not going to see very often.

The monitor will 100% be to you by that time, with production resuming we are looking to having shipping closely after in the Month of December.

The monitor is still branded with the Eve logo etc. it will be slowly transitioned to the Dough branding. Once we do start transitioning everything will be updated. That way we don’t have a Dough branded monitor and Eve stickers, for example.

Unfortunately, we could not trademark the name Eve, we are still committed to all our current responsibilities as this is just to be able to enter retail on a global scale to decrease shipping times for our products.

Thank you for the feedback, the missed deadlines have been anything but ideal for awhile and I am sure from the outside perspective these provided deadlines have no weight or credit behind them. That is our fault completely and I do apologize for that. We understand to reestablish credibility in these provided deadlines we actually have to meet them and we will be striving to do so moving forward.

@Aethel: Thank you for your detailed response and sorry for being an angry dork in my previous post. Have a great week!

You’re saying shipping in December. With the current lockdown state of China, do you really think that’s accurate? Each month the deadline is pushed. Marketing are making up their own dates without checking with product or MP.

Are the current issues in China going to affect MP? Or have they already?

Hey there,

Mass production of ES07D02 started just a few days ago. We will have a topic published later today covering this!
