Thought I would make a thread for people to post their current rigs or ones they plan to build with the upcoming GPU and CPU releases. Here is mine to get started:

Near Future:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X GPU: AMD 6900XT RAM: 2 x 16 GB 3600 MHz RGB MOBO: MSI X570 Tomahawk PSU: EVGA G2 750 W 80+ Gold CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i Pro Storage: 1 TB PCIe 3.0 NVMe + 500 GB SATA SSD + 2 TB WD Black HDD Media: LG UltraHD BluRay Burner Case: Phanteks Pro M
CPU : AMD Ryzen 3900X GPU : RTX 2060 Super FE RAM : 2 x 16GB TridentZ RGB 3000MHz CAS16 MOBO : ASUS ROG X470-F PSU : EVGA G3 650W CPU Cooler : be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 Storage : 2 x 1 TB PCIe 3.0 NVMe Case : CoolerMaster MB530p
Future:
CPU : AMD Ryzen 9 5900X GPU : NVIDIA 3080 (Super/Ti/Whatever they call it) RAM : 4 x 16 GB 3600MHz CAS16 MOBO : ??? PSU : EVGA G5 850W CPU Cooler : Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360mm Storage : 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe Case : Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic Black
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 (undervolted to 3950MHz/3975MHz@1.18V using CTR). CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U12A. GPU: ASUS Strix RTX 2070 O8G (+90 core, +700 memory stable OC). RAM: 2 × 8GB AORUS Memory 4400MHz (manual timing 3600MHz@1.5V). Motherboard: MSI x570 Unify. Boot Drive: 256GB Samsung SSD 980 Pro. Main Drive 01: 1TB AORUS NVMe Gen4 SSD. Main Drive 02: 1TB Lexar Professional NM700. PSU: Seasonic PRIME FANLESS TX-700 (80 PLUS Titanium, fan-less). Case: Phanteks P600s (no window/fully dampened). Case fans: 4 × Be Quiet Silent Wing 3 + 3 × Noctua A12×25 Monitor: AOC C24G2. Keyboard: Logitech MX keys. Mice: Steelseries Sensei Ten.
Future upgrades:
CPU: Either Ryzen 9 5900X or 5950X. GPU: Depends on reviews of the 6000 series, targeting min 1% 60FPS@4K in High settings or essentially 2080Ti+ performance. Due to my 700W PSU limit, its TDP must be no more than 300W. Monitor: 4K model Spectrum.
I was debating between 2 x 16 GB 3600 MHz C16 RAM and 2 x 8 GB 4000 MHz C15 RAM. The price was pretty much the same between the two, but for now I plan to go with the higher amount of RAM. Modern games seem to scale with higher amounts of RAM. Maybe when reviews for the 5000 series comes out they may say going higher then 3800 is worth it and I will switch to the other kit.
So the 3600 MHz kit I ordered was marked lost this morning and got a refund from Amazon. Now it is showing as arriving tomorrow and Amazon is telling me to just keep it. I guess that decides it, 4 x 16 GB 3600 MHz C16 it is .
The difference between 32GB vs. 16GB seems quite negligible, but there should be some improvements occasionally. As the memory support for the 5000 series remains the same, the sweet spot will probably continue to be 3600MHz for the infinity fabric to sync. Congrats that you have got 64GB for half the price for your new rig!
Current: CPU : AMD Ryzen 3700x GPU : Nvidia GTX 1070 RAM : 2 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600MHz MOBO : Asus TUF X570-Plus (Wifi) PSU : Phanteks 1000 Watt 80 Plus Gold COOLER : AMD Wraith Prism Cooler
Future: CPU AMD Ryzen 5900x GPU NVIDIA RTX 3080 (3080 ti) RAM 2 x 16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3600MHz MOBO Asus TUF X570-Plus (Wifi) PSU Phanteks 1000 Watt 80 Plus Gold COOLER Corsair iCUE H150i Elite Liquid Cooler
Update: After seeing some reviews on how the AMD Radeon 6800xt performs in ray tracing, I think I am going to go with a RTX 3080 or 3080 ti depending on the price when those arrive ( assuming they do arrive.)
CPU : Intel i7-6700K (OC to 4.4 GHz 1.29V, or 4.7 GHz 1.38V if I’m in the mood of burning some CPUs) GPU : EVGA 1070 SC (OC +60 MHz core, +375 MHz memory), with the fans and shroud removed RAM : 2 x 8 GB, don’t remember the brand but it’s some value ones with green PCB (OC to 2800 MHz 1.52V) MOBO : Gigabyte Z97N WIFI (don’t buy this, garbage VRM cooling) PSU : Thermaltake Smart M 550W CPU Cooler : Scythe Big Shuriken 2, with the fans removed Storage : Samsung SM951 256 GB + WD Green 2.5" 2 TB Case : Silverstone RVZ01-E (painted gray) Fan: 3x Corsair ML120 (1x to CPU fan header + 2x to GPU header)
I also fitted the dongles inside the case, one for the controller and one Logitech Unifying, so its integrated into the case.
