Hi, I am currently experiencing an issue where I enable HDR within the Windows 11 Home display settings and then after a few days or so, I noticed that the HDR option is disabled and I have to re-enable it. I don’t know whether this is due to Windows system updates or GPU driver updates. Please note that I am using a custom Digital Storm desktop PC with the ES07D03 monitor, Intel I9-10900K, and Nvidia Geforce RTX 3080 with Scaler firmware V107 and USB firmware 06A4/0A.89.19.02
Are there any suggestions/recommendations to ensure that the HDR option remains active in the Windows OS?
I know for a fact that some windows updates and all NVIDIA driver updates always disable HDR for my setup. What connection are you using?
Might be helpful if you can remember what kind of changes you were doing that might trigger this. I found it interesting that it happens only after a few days, instead of every start-up, for example.
Hi, thanks for your response. To answer your question, I am using the DisplayPort connection. As for how often it happens, it is probably more like once a month or so. Like you said, it could be the Nvidia driver updates that are turning off the HDR option in the Windows display settings.
