Hey Dough Community,
I have had the Spectrum '27 4K (Matte) for over 18 months, and I love it as the experience has been flawless. However, three days ago, after restarting the display mid-game, I witnessed unexpected flickering (posted in the video). More specifically, I was playing Forza Horizon 5 in HDR with VRR enabled on my PC. Since that incident, I have experienced non-stop flickering on all my devices PC, Mac, PS5, and Xbox, making it uncomfortable to use. The issue persists only when VRR or just Low-Latency Mode is enabled, and it is presently apparent when gaming, watching videos, or using apps like in dark mode. Also, in some games, I notice the color flickering causes the colors to shift.
Typically, I use the monitor for gaming in HDR with VRR enabled. I have the monitor on firmware version 107, which I updated around October 2022.
So far, I have replaced my HDMI 2.1 cables and reset the settings using the ‘Load factory defaults’ preset. Unfortunately, none of it seems to do any wonders.
Hardware Used:
-PC - AMD Ryzen 5900X, Radeon 7900XTX and Intel 12900K, Nvidia 3080Ti
-Intel - Intel 12900K
-Macbook Pro 15’ 2016 and Macbook Pro 16’ 2019
-PS5 and Xbox Series X
-Audio Quest HDMI 2.1 48G Pearl Cable, before the flickering issue I used to use the cable that came with the consoles.
Not sure, but I assume this might have to do with the motherboard of the monitor.
Please let me know if you have a suggestion to remedy the issue. Once again, I have posted few videos with their respective links.
