Well, I knew this was all too good to be true. My Spectrum glossy (1 of 2) was delivered on Friday. I’ve just used it for the first time today for around 2-3 hours and have already noticed a dead pixel right in the centre of the panel.

Shall I return them both and order 2 Studio Displays from Apple like I should have done 6 months ago? If this has happened after 2 hours, what are the odds that any replacement you guys send me won’t have or develop defects, too?
Panel manufactured May 2022.
I work in the creative industry. Dead pixels are an absolute non-negotiable, especially for £2k worth of screens. Eve/Dough, help me out here please!
Edit: added another photo directly in this forum post.
Wow, I feel like the dumbest person in the world right now. Thanks Cas - you were right. I didn’t know that pushing the control stick to the right would toggle the crosshairs on/off (I was playing around with it when checking out the menus last night).
I’m not a gamer so I wouldn’t have even thought of this at all. Thanks and apologies for the sorta passive aggressive post
Yes, pushing the joystick to the right toggles the crosshair function.
There were discussions on changing the default crosshair to something else less “dead pixel-ly”. It might be something that will arrive on the next firmware update, but I am not entirely sure yet.
That way, we can avoid misunderstanding in the future (and I am sure you were not the first one to have accidentally turned on the crosshair )
