Hey Eve Community,
I had some difficulties using my mouse and keyboard with my Spectrum through the USB Hub. They were constantly freezing and didn’t know whyBut I have found the solution! So for anyone struggling with this problem, I think I found the answer.
So if anyone is like me and got the Spectrum with the hope to turn your laptop into a desktop with minimal cables, you need a cable like this Anker Thunderbolt 4 cable https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B095KSL2B9?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title for video, data, and charging.
Next, to be able to connect your mouse and keyboard through the monitor’s usb hub, you will need to go into Device Manager and go into Human Interface Devices, then double click on each one and click on Properties, then go over to the Power Management tab and make sure the box that says “allow this computer to turn off this device to save power” is unchecked. Then restart your computer, and you should be good to go. I don’t know which one specifically, I’ll find out later, but try them all and it should fix the problem.
