Can the monitor recover from an update failure？

I want to know if the monitor could recover or be recoverable from an update failure, like cutting the power during the update.

Hey, @garfield0018! Yes, we have a backup solution implemented. Spectrum automatically reverses to the previous firmware version in case of an update failure, such as one caused by loss of power.

Can the backup also be used to revert the firmware to an earlier version or original factory version? E.g in case of a ‘successful’ update of bad firmware (let’s say the new firmware screws up some things including the firmware update functionality)?

You don’t need the backup to revert. Older firmwares can be installed over newer ones.
