Didn’t work in the beta and it still doesn’t work right now if I enable dsc again so it’s definitely disabling dsc that enables it.
Huh. After waking up my monitor from sleep my Windows notifications are not resized correctly, and I’m getting weird GPU-looking errors sometimes on Youtube? I wasn’t getting these this entire day, and seems to be to tied to Ambient Mode. Not sure what that’s about.
Had problem updating with new PC but same old cable as previously.
Was getting stuck at this point:
Current setup usb3 10g port → usb3 5g type-b cable → usb3 20g monitor port. Changing to low speed usb in monitor settings didn’t help.
Fixed by doing usb2 port → usb2 type-b cable → usb3 20g monitor port.
I tried upgrade the firmware again, and it worked this time. The display came back after another power cycle.
What do you think is the best gamma setting for the monitor? New options have been added with firmware 108 (2.1, 2.3, 2.5). Or should I leave it at default (2.2)?
I wanted to have one HDMI preset to Gamma 2.1 for gaming and one to Gamma 2.2 for films using sRGB colourspace on PS5
Unfortunately the monitor keeps toggling back to DCI-P3 on HDMI1 for the PS5, if i load the preset it still goes to DCI-P3 and loses the brightness sharpness and gamma settings.
I rarely use HDR on the PS5 but with that on it keeps set but there are few options in HDR.
Also contrast setting starts at 50 and goes to 150, don’t recall how it behaved before.
PS5 may be more saturated if the monitor colour space keeps defaulting to DCI-P3 with an RGB input from the PS5.
I reported in a separate topic (took three days to get approved and posted) that the color space is not saved in the user profile. Maybe that is the issue for you too, or there is another bug that causes the return to DCI-P3.
You do touch upon another idea that I was not aware of. Can the over saturation be reduced if the output source knows if DCI or sRGB is applied by the monitor?
Would be happy to avoid needing to switch the color space every time I switch user profile…
(I’m a PC/laptop user only)
Contrast option went from 0 to 100 before.
Thanks, guess my old contrast of 52 is now 102. Sharpness 60 is now 1-2. Bizarre changes.
There are some nice touches and improvements in this firmware, but after such a wait the basics such as colour profiles and user setting profiles should be fully functional and stable above all else.
Well after the long wait for a new firmware to fix screen blanking, nothing got fixed yet again and now my image settings are messed up on top of it. This pretty much seals it that I’m looking for a new monitor now.
Ugh, so I’m guessing if screen blanking on the PS5 was your main issue it’s not worth updating? Sounds like there are more bugs introduced now.

I thought you had your own firmware engineers but that seems to be incorrect if this company is both manufacturing your monitor and coding the firmware for it. This still seems like a huge bottleneck these other big brand companies a don’t seem to have. I have never heard or used a monitor with so many issues.
Hey everyone, been away for a long time, moving and renovating, finally set back up…
I have missed quite a few firmware updates, dumb question im sure, but do i have to do them all in sequence or will the latest update contain all previous versions within it?
cheers
Hey @Ghost_Eyes
Welcome back!
Not a dumb question at all! You can go straight to the most recent version, 108 for the ES07D03 model, instead of doing them all in sequence.
Hi,
I have updated to 108 and after that the screen doesn’t get any signal from either USB-C or HDMI. Anyone can help with this?
Do I have to make a hard reset of the display if that is even possible?
Thanks!
I cannot say whether my issue is the same as yours, but my upgrade broke during the process after which the screen became unresponsive.
Leaving the screen on for 30 minutes caused it to resume the upgrade by itself and it was then working again.
You can normally roll back to a previous FW indeed.
I still have screen blanking with my rtx 4080, when g sync is on then every 5-10 min in a game it gives me a short black screen. When I turn g sync of everything is normal.
And yes the GeForce bios is update because of the bug in the beginning from Nvidia.
Have you tried ‘Displayport Mode: 1.4 without DSC’?
